The open day, on 25th May, showcased the services available as well as allowing members of the public, professionals, family members and the local community the opportunity to find out more about the treatment available.

Over 50 people attended the event and experts from the service spoke about their areas of expertise and the treatment options available. There were plenty of useful tips and measurement tools to take away such as the alcohol unit calculator.

Martin Fanner, Area Manager for Redbridge, said, “The open day was a huge success with very positive comments from people who attended complimenting our welcoming and non-judgmental space. We hope that the local community feel more knowledgeable about our service and feel comfortable getting in touch with any questions.”

Sharon Hawley, Service Manager said, “This was a great opportunity to showcase the range of treatments available and encourage those who have difficulty with alcohol and drugs to drop in or come and talk to our friendly staff. We can support people to make the life changes that they want to make. Our service is confidential and non-judgemental.”

R3 is an integrated service that provides advice, treatment and support to people whose lives are affected by drugs and alcohol use including 'legal highs', prescribed and over the counter medications.
Jessica Hardwick, QALB Service Manager said, “The open day was an opportunity to get the message out that R3 know what service users want most from treatment services, and what our service does best, and we focus on where those two meet.”
